Abstract Title: Rehabilitation of landfills in Thessaloniki: from landscape destruction to recovery

Biography:

Ms Vaya Karypidou is an agriculturist with a postgraduate degree in landscape architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In addition to their qualifications, she possess a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on agile project management. She has been working for the Central Macedonia Solid Waste Management Agency as an agriculturist and landscape architect since 2007. Since then, she has been working in the Department of Inactive Landfills, Post-Landfill Landfills and Uncontrolled Landfills, and specializes in the rehabilitation of these sites. Ms Argiri Voumvouraki is an agriculturist MSc from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been working for the Central Macedonia Solid Waste Management Agency as an agriculturist since 1995 and Head of Department of Inactive Landfills, Post-Landfill Landfills and Uncontrolled Landfills since 2014.
